WLGA Play Day Procedures
BEFORE PLAY:
DURING PLAY:
2nd line - local # if you have one, game score for holes that count, total game/net score
Write no more than one score per block
o Mark score with an “X” (example: 7x)
o That hole does not count for Ringers or Birdies/Chip-Ins
o Write a big WD beside your name
o Turn in your card after play and post score (if you finished 7 or more holes)
o Turn in your card after play and post score (if you finished 7 or more holes)
AFTER PLAY:
DISQUALIFICATIONS & WITHDRAWALS:
A player who WITHDRAWS (WD) or is DISQUALIFIED (DQ) is not eligible for game points, Ringers or Birdies/Chip-Ins. Reasons for Disqualification include:
COUNTING BIRDIES/CHIP-INS AND RINGERS, AND POSTING OF SCORES:
b. The birdie/eagle is holed out, not conceded or given
c. The B/C form is completed, signed, attested and turned in after the round
d. Mulligan is not used on the B/C hole
b. The hole is holed out, not given or conceded
c. No Mulligans are used during the round
d. The round is played from the tees selected when the player signed up for ringers
post the score she thinks she would have made on that hole. If the hole is not played she can post the par plus handicap score for that hole.
b. The player completes at least 7 holes.
CRITERIA FOR DQ AND WD
The following chart identifies what actions result in a:
DQ - Disqualification
WD - Withdrawl
As of May 4, 2023,
- Check in at Pro Shop at least 20 minutes ahead of tee time
- Check the correct handicap, course & game to play from the posted handicap sheet
- Be at starting hole at least 10 minutes prior to your tee time
DURING PLAY:
- For each person, mark scorecard as follows:

- Keep two scorecards for all players to compare scores at the end
- If you pick up on a hole that does not count for the game:
o Mark score with an “X” (example: 7x)
o That hole does not count for Ringers or Birdies/Chip-Ins
- If you have reached your max on a hole that does not count:
- If you pick up on hole that does count for the game:
o Write a big WD beside your name
o Turn in your card after play and post score (if you finished 7 or more holes)
- If you voluntarily withdraw from the game:
o Turn in your card after play and post score (if you finished 7 or more holes)
- Keep pace with group ahead of you or at the pace dictated by the pace of play card in the golf cart
AFTER PLAY:
- Write gross score and game score on the card for all players
- Compare both cards and correct any errors. Each player is responsible for her own score and information
- Sign, date, and write name of attester one of the cards (the most legible one)– the signatures for scorer and attest must be two independent LGA members
- Put attested card into the Play Day box in the ladies locker room immediately after play
- Post your adjusted gross score (or AGS) in the computer the DAY YOU PLAY. All scores must be posted when 7+ holes are played, even if you withdraw.
DISQUALIFICATIONS & WITHDRAWALS:
A player who WITHDRAWS (WD) or is DISQUALIFIED (DQ) is not eligible for game points, Ringers or Birdies/Chip-Ins. Reasons for Disqualification include:
- Scorecard is not dated or is not signed and attested by two separate LGA players
- Scorecard not submitted to Tournament Committee immediately after the round
- Played the game on wrong course
- Skipped or picked up on a hole that counted for the game
- Did not complete at least 14 holes
- Did not play and complete the game on LGA play day with another 2020 LGA member
COUNTING BIRDIES/CHIP-INS AND RINGERS, AND POSTING OF SCORES:
- Birdies and chip-ins can count when all of these conditions are met:

d. Mulligan is not used on the B/C hole
- Ringers can be counted when all of these conditions are met:
b. The hole is holed out, not given or conceded
c. No Mulligans are used during the round

- Scores from an LGA tournament should be posted if all of these conditions are met:

As of May 4, 2023,
- If you withdraw from the game, your Birdies/Chipin(s) will count. The following criteria must be met when you withdraw from the established and defined weekly game on Thursday/Saturday
- player must have declared they are playing the game on the first tee box
- player must complete 14 or more holes
- it must be noted on the scorecard player has withdrawn
- LGA game points, and Ringer scores will not be awarded for any player that incurs a DQ or WD.
Actions
Failed to sign in--did not initial name on the sign-in sheet and circle correct handicap on sign-in sheet in a manner to indicate participation
